You will travel towards the West from the North to visit the few major and holy cities of colorful Rajasthan, namely Pushkar, Jodhpur and Udaipur. Deep in the heart of Rajasthan, you will find Jodhpur, a fascinating city to explore. Jodhpur is the former capital of the Marwar state, founded in 1459, is currently the 2nd largest city in the state of Rajasthan and it echoes with tales of antiquity in the vastness of the nearby Thar Desert. Jodhpur is popularly known as the "Blue City" among the people of Rajasthan due to the wide array of blue houses located in the historic districts of the city. In centuries past, Jodhpur was located on the strategic road linking Delhi to Gujarat.
Dubbed "the most romantic spot on the continent of India,” Udaipur is a beautiful destination known for its history, culture, and scenic locations. Udaipur is also known as “Venice of the East,” as the main city is situated around many beautiful lakes, Lake Pichola being one of the biggest human-made lakes in the world. The city was founded in 1559, Udaipur is quite a renowned destination owing to its massive palaces, ancient forts, beautiful lakes, lush gardens, age-old temples, and romantic backdrops.
Day 01 - Arrive Delhi
You’ll arrive at Delhi, the capital city of India at Indira Gandhi International Airport, the busiest airports in the country and on the seventh number worldwide, handling almost 68 million passengers annually.
Your customs and immigration formalities will take approximately an hour.
You’ll be transferred to the hotel by a private vehicle accompanied by the company’s representative.
You’ll be assisted in checking in at the hotel.
You’ll stay overnight at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 02 - Delhi sightseeing
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast you will meet your driver and guide and begin with your sightseeing in New Delhi.
Firstly, you’ll visit Lodhi Gardens, one of the favorite spots for Delhi’s morning walkers, joggers, and yoga enthusiasts.
Thereafter you’ll visit Humayun’s Tomb, built in 1570, culturally significant, as it was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent and considered a predecessor of Taj Mahal.
Later you’ll continue to Qutab Minar, built at the site of Lal Kot, the first city of Delhi, it is also a UNESCO World Heritage site that marks the arrival of Islamic rule in India.
Enjoy your lunch at a restaurant of your choice or discuss it with your city guide.
Post lunch you’ll explore the legacy of British Raj as we drive pass the British Colonial Buildings viz. President’s House, Parliament House, India Gate, Raj Path (King’s Way), Janpath (Queen’s Way), government official bungalows, Connaught Place, and surroundings.
Reach Old Delhi and explore the Old city by walking or through Rickshaw ride.
You’ll be visiting Jama Masjid, Gurudwara Sees Ganj (Sikh Temple), Chandni Chowk, which is home to silversmiths, repair shops, clothiers, spicy street food vendors and traditional sweetmeat shops.
You’ll explore not just the bazaar, but also the cultural landscape of Old Delhi, full of smells, sights & sounds, to leave you overwhelmed.
Late evening if you wish visit Akshardham Temple or Stroll through Dilli Haat (Handicraft Bazaar).
Before returning to the hotel have dinner at a restaurant of your choice or at the hotel itself.
You’ll stay overnight at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 03 - Delhi to Agra (3.5 hours’ drive)
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast check-out and drive to your next destination along with your driver.
You’ll drive to Agra for 3.5 hours in your private vehicle.
Arrive in Agra, the city of Taj Mahal and check-in at your hotel.
Enjoy your Lunch (you can either have it at your hotel or a restaurant of your choice – our driver will assist you).
Post lunch you’ll be meeting our city guide for the sightseeing tour of Agra.
Firstly, you’ll visit Agra Fort, bult by three generations of Mughal Emperors – Akbar built the walls and gates, his grandson Shah Jahan erected many of the ethereal buildings inside it, and his great-grandson Aurangzeb built the ramparts.
Later you will be visiting Itimad-ud-Daulah (Baby Taj), a Mughal mausoleum located on the western bank of the Yamuna River near the Yamuna Bridge Railway Station in Agra. The tomb is also known as the Jewel Box or Baby Taj as it looks like a smaller version of the Taj Mahal.
After this you can have a sunset view of Taj Mahal from the other side of the Yamuna River (Mehtab Bagh).
Before returning to the hotel enjoy your dinner at a restaurant of your choice or at your hotel itself.
Return to the hotel and stay overnight at the hotel in Agra.
Day 04 - Agra to Jaipur (4.5 hours’ drive) via Fatehpur Sikri and Abhaneri Stepwell
Early morning met by your city guide and driver for a sunrise view of Taj Mahal.
Later return to the hotel for breakfast
After breakfast check-out and drive to your next destination along with your driver.
You’ll drive to Jaipur (4.5 hours’ drive) in your private vehicle.
You’ll enroute stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri, which is popularly known as the abandoned Capital City (it will take additional 2 hours for the visit)
Later resume your drive to Jaipur, known as the Pink City of India.
In time stop for the lunch at one of the popular restaurants along the way
Post lunch, resume the drive to Jaipur, stop again to visit the Abhaneri Stepwell or Chand Baori, one of the most beautiful and the largest stepwells in the world.
You’ll arrive in Jaipur by early evening.
Check-in at the hotel and relax for the rest of the day.
Later tonight you’ll visit a local home to learn Indian Cooking and have dinner at the local home in Jaipur.
After dinner return to your hotel for an overnight stay at your hotel in Jaipur.
Day 05 - Jaipur Sightseeing
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast you’ll be met by your driver and city guide to do the sightseeing in Jaipur.
Firstly, you’ll visit Amer Fort, traditional fortress of the Kacchawaha kings is at Amber, a beautiful citadel rich in stories of valor.
Later you are going to visit The Museum at City Palace, which is a royal residence and former administrative headquarters of the rulers of the Jaipur state in Rajasthan.
Continue your sightseeing with a visit to the Observatory or Jantar Matar, is a collection of 19 astronomical instruments built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh, the founder of Jaipur state. It has the biggest sundial in the World.
Carry on your sightseeing with the visit of Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace), is a palace in the city of Jaipur, Rajasthan. Built from red and pink sandstone, it is on the edge of the and extends to the Zenana, or women's chambers.
After the morning exploration, enjoy your lunch at a restaurant of your choice or discuss it with your city guide.
Post lunch continue with your sightseeing of walled city of Jaipur.
You will be shown not only the monuments and palaces of this legendary wealthy city, but also the temples, crafts and guilds patronised by the rulers.
Later, you can stroll through the walled city of Jaipur, explore the spices, sweets, and colorful bazaars.
After completing the sightseeing in the city, return to your hotel by late evening to relax.
Later tonight your driver will take you out for dinner at the restaurant of your choice.
Then return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 06 - Jaipur to Jodhpur (5 hours’s drive) Via Pushkar
Today you can wake up at leisure at your hotel.
Then you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel.
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE MORNING:
The hot air balloon ride, fly above Hawa Mahal, Amber Fort and Samode Palace to get a 360-degree view of the Pink City.
Or Bathe the Elephants at Dera Amer
In time check-out from the hotel and drive to your next destination.
You’ll meet your driver and today you will drive 5 hours to Jodhpur, popularly known as Blue City.
On the way to Jodhpur make a stop at The Holy city of Pushkar.
At Pushkar you’ll stroll around Pushkar lake and visit the Brahma Temple.
Enjoy lunch at Pushkar and post lunch resume your drive to Jodhpur.
You’ll arrive in Jodhpur by early evening, after arriving at Jodhpur check-in at your hotel and relax.
Late in the evening your driver will take you out for dinner at a rooftop restaurant or a restaurant of your choice.
After dinner you’ll return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Jodhpur.
Day 07 - Jeep Safari & Jodhpur Sightseeing
Early in the morning you will meet your guide and driver for a Jeep Safari to see the villages of rural Marwar, for a glimpse of Rajasthani desert life.
You’ll get a glimpse of farming, weaving, pottery, and other activities in the area.
After the Jeep safari you’ll return to the hotel for breakfast (optionally you can also request a packed breakfast to take along with you on a jeep ride, whatever suits you better).
After freshening up, you will meet your guide at the hotel for a sightseeing tour of Jodhpur.
Firstly, we will visit the Mehrangarh Fort, founded in 1459 AD by Rao Jodha after whom the city is named. The fort has many stories and legends, and the views of the city from the fort are lovely.
Later you’ll visit another popular tourist spot, namely Jaswant Thada, the white marble cenotaph of Jodhpur royalty.
After visiting Jaswant Thada you’ll visit the India’s last Great Palace namely, The Umaid Bhavan Palace – the palace is constructed in Indo-Art-Deco style, Umaid Bavan was the World’s largest private residence when it was opened in 1944 as a Royal Residence.
After visiting the palace, you can have lunch at one of the popular restaurants in Jodhpur.
Post lunch you’ll return to the hotel and rest.
Evening your guide will take you to Brahmapuri area for a walk through the blue city and auto Tuk-Tuk ride through Ghantaghar (Clock Tower) area, one of the largest and busiest area of Jodhpur.
You can have dinner at one of the popular restaurants in Jodhpur.
After dinner you’ll return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Jodhpur.
Day 08 - Jodhpur to Udaipur (5 hours’ drive) via Ranakpur Jain Temples
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel.
In time check-out from the hotel and drive to your next destination.
You’ll meet your driver and today you will drive to Udaipur, popularly known as City of Lakes (300kms/5 hours’ drive).
On the way to Udaipur you’ll stop enroute to visit the beautiful Jain Temple at Ranakpur, the temple dedicated to Tirthankara (Spiritual Leader) Rishabhanatha, spread over an area of 4,500square yards and consisting of 29 halls built in the 15th century in the reign of the Rajput monarch Rana Kumbha. 1444 marble pillars, carved in exquisite detail, support the temple. The pillars are all differently carved and no two pillars are the same.
After visiting the Jain temple, you can have your lunch at one of the popular restaurants in Ranakpur.
Post lunch you’ll resume your drive to Udaipur.
You’ll arrive in Udaipur by early evening, after arriving at Udaipur check-in at your hotel and relax.
Late in the evening your driver will take you out for dinner at a rooftop restaurant or a restaurant of your choice.
After dinner you’ll return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Udaipur.
Day 09 - Udaipur Sightseeing
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast you’ll be met by your driver and city guide to do the sightseeing in Udaipur.
Firstly, we will visit the iconic City Palace, with its grandeur and intricacy stroked all over in granite, marble, and mosaic tiles, displays sparkling white filigreed balconies and stained-glass windows that reflect onto the surface of Lake Pichola below. The palace will amaze with its exquisite interiors consisting of detailed mirrorwork, unique paintings, colorful murals, antique furniture, and marble carvings.
After visit the iconic palace, you’ll walk to Jagdish Temple, large Hindu temple in the middle of the city built by Maharana Jagat Singh I in 1651 CE. It is an example of Indo-Aryan architecture and is a great indicator of the fusion of architecture and art.
Later on, you’ll see the Vintage and Classic Car collection, a museum of vintage vehicles, is a must-see for antique connoisseurs.
After witnessing the vintage car collections, enjoy a boat ride at Lake Pichola (if you wish you can have lunch a Jag Mandir alternatively known as the Lake Garden Palace,) it is located at Lake Pichola itself (prior reservation is required for lunch).
Post lunch we will visit Sahelion Ki Bari is a spectacular garden displaying the unique lifestyle of the royal ladies who once lived in the palace.
You’ll return to the hotel and rest after the sightseeing.
Evening your driver will take you to Bagore ki Haveli to see the evening Puppet Show. This area of Rajasthan boasts a proud heritage of puppet shows and the stories they tell through the puppet show are worth seeing.
Later on, witness the Bhavai dance at Dharohar, is the last but longest performance by a single artist. Historically, Bhavai dance originates from the desert area of Rajasthan where women very often need to walk miles far from their home to get water from wells or oases.
You can have dinner at one of the popular restaurants near the lakeside.
After dinner you’ll return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Udaipur.
Day 10 - Udaipur Sightseeing
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel.
In time check-out from your hotel, your driver will transfer you to the Udaipur airport to connect the flight for onward destination (There are various flight connections to Delhi & Mumbai from Udaipur)
